Renewing your Business Registration Certificate
The demand note, what it includes, and how to avoid a lapsed certificate.
Draft for review by the operating entity's legal adviser before publication.
The cycle
- A business registration certificate is valid for one year (or three, if you chose a three-year certificate). The Inland Revenue Department sends a renewal demand note before expiry; paying it is the renewal.
- The amount is the registration fee plus the levy; both change by government decision, so read the current note rather than last year’s.
If the note does not arrive
- You are still responsible for renewing on time. Check your registered address is current with the Companies Registry and the Inland Revenue Department.
